(St. Joseph, MN)--A Minnesota State Trooper is injured when his squad car was struck by another vehicle Friday morning. According to the report, the crash took place along westbound Interstate 94 near St. Joseph. Officials say that 31-year-old Trooper Matthew Carlson was parked with his emergency lights activated as he investigated a crash in the median. A second car driven by Mark Hoffman, 49, of St. Cloud, reportedly struck the squad car as he passed.

Hoffman was not injured in the crash, but Carlson was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
